This ghost has also been associated with sirens, where it either plays distorted tunes or utters its signature phrase in a twisted tone, “PBBV is watching, PBBV is here.” Approaching too closely might lead to a game crash, redirecting players to a loading screen showcasing a gorilla with red eyes and occasionally reddened facial features, as depicted in certain online images. By mid-2022, PBBV’s presence waned, succeeded by other spectral entities. Rumors circulated about PBBV’s resting place in the mines, a site no longer existent, and tales of it crafting a triangle with its hands near the siren, potentially leading to a ban.

Speculation abounds regarding PBBV’s backstory, including theories of a sibling rivalry with PAUL, purportedly responsible for PBBV’s demise, leaving the body near Kerestell Smith’s residence. This familial discord is said to extend beyond death, trapping both spirits in a perpetual battle within Gorilla Tag. Moreover, PBBV shares its ghostly realm with joke specter Peebbv, further enriching the game’s lore. Initially spotted by a Reddit user in late August 2021, PBBV quickly became a widespread phenomenon in Gorilla Tag, though its sightings have significantly decreased by 2024, relegating PBBV to the fringes of game folklore. The creator behind PBBV, associated with a Gorilla Tag ARG by ‘ChippdBanjo,’ remains banned from the Gorilla Tag discord, shrouded in mystery.
